An attractive and capable new gaming speaker from LG?

According to the LG, the new speaker is designed with gamers in mind with optimized sound, design, and features with a built-in mic for clear headset-free voice chats.

In particular, the company claimed that this speaker has a three-dimensional and game-optimized sound as well as easy control and seamless compatibility with PCs and the latest gaming consoles.

It incorporated the company's proprietary 3D Gaming Sound technology with RTF (head-related transfer function) algorithm to tailor game audio according to the genre to allow the user to enjoy detailed virtual surround sound complete with a realistic sense of space, position, and directionality even without wearing a headset.

The speaker also has the Game Genre Optimizer with two modes that can customize game audio to match what the user is playing along with the FPS Mode allows first-person shooter game fans to hear the smallest of details to allow users to react even quicker to enemy stealthily closing in on their position and an RTS Mode to ramp up the realism spatial sound that can immerse players in their favorite real-time strategy (RTS), racing and all other games.

It also has support for DTS Headphone:X when using headsets or earphones.

Moreover, it goes with a "voice chat" gaming speaker allowing users to communicate with other players without the need for separate headsets or microphones.

According to LG,
built-in mics utilize LG's unique echo-cancellation algorithm which can distinguish a user’s voice from game sounds and background noises. This speaker can also be a discrete sound card to allow users to down professionally tuned EQ settings via a companion app and lets users share custom sound settings for specific games with other gamers.

The Gaming Speaker also has Hi-Res Audio with higher sampling rates thanks to its use of a Hi-Fi Quad DAC (ES9038PRO) DAC

It also has a stylish and "unobtrusive design" with top-mounted control buttons that make it easy to change microphone, volume, and sound modes as well as 16.8 million different colors.

The speaker also has several connectivity options like an optical cable and USB-C. It also has Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

The new speaker will be launching in key markets worldwide starting in South Korea and the United States. Select markets in Europe starting from September will get the new speaker as well.
