In Laguna, Globe has also modernized sites in Binan, San Pedro and Sta. Rosa, Laguna to include one 5G tower.

The network modernization efforts will allow its mobile subscribers to enjoy better call, SMS, and data browsing experiences.

These modernization efforts were intended to better serve our customers in upper Cavite and Laguna. The site upgrades will bring better connectivity and experience to our customers especially now that classes have started for private schools, colleges and universities in these provinces, said Joel Agustin, Globe senior vice president for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.

The group reiterated its call for subscribers to embrace 4G LTE-ready SIMs to maximize the network's performance.

Globe previously said subscribers may check if they are still using 2G and 3G SIMs by texting SIM CHECK to 8080.

If they want to upgrade to 4G LTE SIMs, Globe said they may set an online appointment or through the GlobeOne App before proceeding to the Globe Store for SIM replacement.
