DITO to expand to 53 more areas this September

More areas across the country will be covered by the mobile network of third telco player DITO Telecommunity this September.

DITO covering more areas this month

The company on Thursday said it is now present in 233 cities and municipalities, a huge development from its 15 pilot areas in the Visayas and Mindanao.

By September, we are ready to add 53 more. That would bring our total commercially launched cities and municipalities to 286, DITO chief technology officer Rodolfo Santiago said during a virtual briefing.

During the same presser, officials from DITO said that the group is now gearing up for the launch of its broadband service for home subscribers.

Santiago also reiterated the news that DITO passed its second-year performance audit, where independent auditors recorded 853 megabits per second for its 5G sites.
