Chinese-based TV maker Hisense earlier revealed the world's first rollable laser TV at the 3rd Global Laser Display Technology and Industry Development Forum.
Rollable TVs aren't that new, LG released one in 2019 with OLED technology instead of laser displays.
The new Hisense rollable TV features a 77-inch panel with curled screen technology and full-color laster technology. It comes with 4K ultra-high HDR resolution, 107 percent BT.2020 ultra-wide color gamut, and 350 nits of peak brightness.
It also has virtually no bezels on the sides. On the top, it has a slim bezel. Below, there's a thicker bezel.
It also has the Transvision visual engine and Harman Kardon speakers. When the screen is rolled down, it is an impressive speaker.
Hisense said that the product was built using aviation-grade high-tech materials. It was also tuned by Harmon Cardon Golden Ear team. It also has support for Dolby sound effects and DTS dual decoding.
Hisense also applied for more than 70 patents related to this curling screen laser TV.
The company hasn't revealed its pricing yet, but it is now available for booking at JD.com for just CNY 1.
