Xiaomi Civi with vivo X60-looking design and SD778G now official

Xiaomi today launched the Civi smartphone designed to replace its old CC series in China.

Xiaomi Civi is now official!

Undeniably, it is a vivo X60-looking device featuring a back design with a gradient finish that uses a microcrystalline AG process. It also has a metal frame and a glass display.

In particular, the handset features a curved 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, 0.32 JNCD, 0.36 DeltaE, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, top-center punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera with AF, and In-Display fingerprint reader in front.

One of the highlights of its selfie camera is it has a Dual Soft LED flash for better front camera shots even in the dark.

Inside, the device is powered by the 6nm Snapdragon 778G 5G octa-core processor with Adreno 642L GPU. It is paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, and a 4,500mAh battery capacity with USB-C 55W fast charging tech.

Xiaomi is claiming that it can charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in just 45 minutes.

The device also has an intelligent temperature control system with a 9-layer graphene sheet to help dissipate heat.

For the back cameras, it uses a 64MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro camera.

With a thickness of just 6.98 mm and a weight of 166 grams, it is one of the slimmest smartphones and lightest smartphones with these specs around.

This handset is available in Pink, Light Blue, and Shiny Black colorways.

The new Xiaomi device is now available for pre-order in China. It will go on sale from September 30, 2021.
