The new offering from Xiaomi is available on four screen sizes of 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch. The Mi TV P1 series features a bezel-less design, a 4K display, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Android TV, built-in Google Assistant, and Dolby Audio stereo speaker.

For now, we'll be sharing our initial thoughts about the new TV from Xiaomi. We'll be publishing our full review by next week, so stay tuned!

Of course, the device arrived in the usual kraft box of televisions. We were loaned with the 55-inch variant and the following are the items that come with it: the unit, 360° Bluetooth remote control, two table-top stands, screws, two power cables in type A and type C, user manual, and warranty card.

Xiaomi could have packed everything inside if there were two triple-A batteries and a TV wall bracket.

As mentioned, Xiaomi Mi TV P1 features a gray-tinted, bezel-less design. The Mi branding is placed at the bottom of the screen alongside the LED lights indicator for the Google Assistant.

We used the provided screws to place the slim, plastic stands on the underside of the screen. Despite the material used for the stands, they're sturdy enough to hold the TV in place very well.

Attractive, minimalist design!

At first look, Xiaomi Mi TV P1 is very attractive. By just looking, someone can say that it can pass for a high-end LCD TV.

However, upon closer inspection, it can be deemed that Xiaomi has saved on the materials used in its production for this TV, but of course, this constrains the final price of the product. Xiaomi Mi TV P1 is lightweight and I didn't have a hard time pulling out the television from the box and setting it up.

Plastic is abundant on this TV, hence, making it fall under the mid-range line.

As soon as we turned on the Mi TV P1, we were greeted with the Android TV logo. There's an option to set up the TV on your Android mobile or type in every information the TV needs from you using the remote control.

It has a curved back and my stick out a little bit when mounted on the wall. The following are placed on the Xiaomi Mi TV P1's backside facing the left side:  one HDMI eARC 2.1, two HDMI 2.0, two USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Ethernet. Meanwhile, downward outlets are as follows: network, optical port, AV input, and antenna/cable.

The wall mount access is also on the backside. On the other hand, the power plug-in is placed on the backside facing the right.

Notably, the TV power button is hidden in the base of the case, right below the "Mi" logo.

The 360° Bluetooth remote control is fairly large for users to misplace it. It comes with a Google Assistant button, Netflix and Amazon Prime video shortcuts, and Mi button. We wish there's a YouTube shortcut button, though.

Overall, Xiaomi Mi TV P1's build is worthy of the mid-range segment at this price point and can easily attract #TeamPuti homeowners as an addition to their homes.
