Fairphone 4 is designed using recycled material, fairtrade gold, and "ethically sourced" cobalt and lithium. It has a modular design that promotes repairability with spare parts readily available from Fairphone itself. For reference, the battery will be EUR 29.95, the dual-camera module at EUR 79.95, and the selfie camera module for EUR 29.95.

It has a 6.3-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. It has a dewdrop notch and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is also IP54 rated as well as MIL810G drop test certified.

Inside, it has the 8nm 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor, Adreno 619 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB expandable storage, and a 3,905mAh battery with 20W charging. For cameras, it has a dual-sensor setup with a 48MP main shooter with OIS + 48MP ultrawide snapper + LED flash. The third cutout houses the ToF, autofocus, and color sensors as a backup.

Fairphone 4 has Android 11 out of the box with promises of 2 major Android version updates and other security patches up to the end of 2025.

The Fairphone TWS earbuds feature a stemmed design with a charging case with a vertically-oriented storage design. Both are made out of recycled materials as well. The TWS features 10mm drivers, 2x microphones each bud, Active Noise Cancelling, touch controls, and IPX4 splash resistance.

It also has a 45mAh battery on each bud with an additional 500mAh battery in the charging case. It charges via USB-C with no charging in the box included. This is to further lessen Fairphone's digital waste making it compatible with your existing device chargers. It also connects via Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP, HFP, and AVRCP support.
