This has been the eighth month that Globe at Home topped the rankings. That has been 8 out of the 10 months of 2021 so far! It previously ranked first in the months of January, February, April, May, June, July, and August. SKY is currently tied with them with a Netflix ISP Speed Index score of 3.4 while Converge ICT Solution got 3.2 for second place. PLDT came in third with a score of 3.0 while Royal Cable came in fourth with a score of 2.6.
As a recap, Netflix determines the monthly rankings by calculating an ISP’s performance in primetime streaming sessions based on the maximum bitrate set by combining resolution, streaming device, and encode recipe. The better a network is, the closer a session will be to reaching this maximum possible bitrate.
As of September, Globe stated that it has rolled out an additional one million fiber lines and designated PHP 76 billion in capital expenditures. A huge chunk of this is said to be used on data network builds.
