Microsoft announces Office 2021 launch date—starts at USD 149.99

Along with Windows 11, Microsoft is also launching the Office 2021 suite on October 5. It also shared that the starting price will be USD 149.99.

Collaborating will be easier on the desktop Office 2021

Microsoft Office 2021 will get the updates and improvements Microsoft 365 subscribers got over the past three years. Microsoft announced that the real-time co-authoring feature will also be included in the 2021 version. This gives groups the ability to work on a single document stored via OneDrive at the same time. Users can also collaborate with Microsoft 365 users or with web version users.

In addition, Microsoft Office 2021 will also come with visual updates aligned with Windows 11. This will provide a sleeker and more uniform look when it launches with Windows 11. It will also even work with dark and light mode set by Windows itself.

Microsoft Office 2021 will also include the free version of Microsoft Teams. There will be two encompassing variants for Office 2021. There's Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021 priced at USD 149.99. It will include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, and Teams. 

Microsoft Office Home and Business 2021 costs USD 249.99 and it includes all the previous ones with the addition of Outlook. It also comes with rights to use the apps for business purposes.
