Leakster Ice universe earlier claimed that South Korean firm Samsung is prepping to release a new entry-level Exynos chip. The interesting part? It might be fabbed under the 5nm manufacturing process.

The 1280 chip?

5nm chip for the masses?

The tipster claimed that the new chip will be lower than the 1080 and it will target entry-level smartphones. Weirdly, it might be called Exynos 1280.

The specs of the chip are unknown for now, but it should be lower than Exynos 1080 with 4x Cortex-A78 cores, 4x Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G78 MP10 GPU.

There is also no word if it'll feature 5G, but it will be a huge bummer if it won't.

This is a big deal if it will be really based on the 5nm fabrication. Previously, only premium mid-range and flagship chips were made using this tech.

The newer 5nm designs promise better power efficiency and generally faster overall performance.

Could this be the next chip of future vivo budget phones?

The chip might launch on November 10. Samsung is also expected to be a mid-range chip and the much-hyped Exynos 2200 with an AMD-based GPU.
