With an aim to bring families closer this Christmas, the Free Bee mobile app is giving away prizes and promos this holiday season.

Unique ways of celebrating Christmas despite the distance

Backed by PLDT Global Corporation, Free Bee is a multi-awarded app that helps overseas Filipinos through various services. In previous years, Free Bee celebrates a special day in the airport to welcome OFWs who are coming home to their families for the holiday season.

Due to the restrictions brought by COVID, the company decided to take the celebration online. The app is  launching a special video campaign, "Dama ang Pasko sa Diskarteng Free Bee" on  December 12. 

According to Free Bee, it reflects the unique ways of celebrating Christmas with Free Bee, despite the distance between overseas Filipinos and their loved ones. President and CEO at PLDT Global Albert V. Villa-Real said,

Christmas is a special holiday for Filipinos, especially for OFWs. Upholding our company’s pillar of malasakit, we at PLDT Global are here to make sure that they can feel the warmth of a Pinoy Christmas no matter where they are in the world and reward them with special gifts from our partners.

 

Aside from that, Free Bee announced that active users will have the chance to grab prizes from December 1 to 12, 2021. Allegedly, users have been working together to reach 100,000 calls by 12 noon on December 11, 2021. Meanwhile, those who have made a call between November 22 and December 22 will be eligible to win unlimited premium calls on December 12 and on Christmas Day. 

Users can enjoy free two-minute calls to PLDT, Smart, and TNT customers in the Philippines. They can also subscribe to premium calls that allow them to make affordable calls to their families even if they are offline or do not use a smartphone.

 

With the upgraded app, Filipinos in Canada, South Korea, the United States, India, Singapore, Australia, and Japan can use a Virtual Philippine Number. Basically, it's a local Smart number that is assigned or paired to their Free Bee account so their families back home can call or text them and be charged only with local rates.

Free Bee also comes with Bee Coins, an in-app digital currency or credit that allows the user to purchase any call or text plans within the app. Users can purchase prepaid load on the Bee Shop and send it to their families back home or pay for Philippine bills even if they are abroad.
