Philips just unveiled a budget device with a waterdrop notch display, a UNISOC processor, and a huge battery.
After releasing the PH2 just a week ago, the electronics giant has launched another one in China. The Philips PH1 boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, with a waterdrop-like notch.
Under the hood, the PH1 has the same chipset as the PH2 which is the UNISOC T310. This is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage. The device is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery but no fast charging support.
The back panel of the PH1 sports a 13MP primary camera and a 3MP secondary snapper. In front, there's a 5MP shooter for selfies.
Other features include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device lacks a fingerprint scanner, and it only features face unlock for security.
PH1 runs on Android, but Philips hasn't disclosed the exact version yet. It measures 165.5 x 76.5 x 9.5 mm and weighs 194 grams. It comes in three colors: Blue, Black, and Red.
Philips PH1 (4GB/32GB) - CNY 499 (around PHP 3.9K)
Philips PH1 (4GB/64GB) - CNY 569 (around PHP 4.4K)
Philips PH1 (4GB/64GB) - CNY 769 (around PHP 6K)
The PH1 is now available in China but there's no announcement yet from Philips if this will be released in other countries soon.
