Leaker Ice universe recently shared the Geekbench 5 results of several processors including the newest chips today.
King of Android chips at Geekbench?

MTK did a lot better this time

It includes the 2021 flagship 5nm Snapdragon 888 along with the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Exynos 2200, and Dimensity 9000. Apple's Bionic A15 was shown in the list as well.

For Apple users, the 5nm Bionic A15 is still on top with a Single-Core score of 1750 and  Multi-Core score of 4885. This is not surprising as the chip from the Cupertino giant is usually on top of the said benchmarking platform.

The surprise is MediaTek. Its new 4nm chip bested Qualcomm and Samsung this year on both Singe-Core and Multi-Core scores. In particular, it achieved a Single-Core score of 1278 and a Multi-Score score of 4410.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 followed with a Single-Core score of 1231 and a Multi-Core score of 3752.

Meanwhile, Samsung's Exynos 2200 is the lowest of the bunch with a Single-Core score of 1109 and a Multi-Core score of 3534. Weirdly, it is statistically tied with the older Snapdragon 888 chip.

To recap, MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 uses the new Armv9 architecture CPUs boasting 1x Cortex-X2 Ultra-Core clocked at 3.05GHz + 3x Cortex-A710 Super-Cores clocked at 2.85GHz + 4x Cortex-A510 Efficiency Cores. It also has the ARM Mali-G710 MC10 GPU with the first raytracing SDK using Vulkan for Android and a 5th Generation AI (APU) processor with up to 4x power efficiency versus the last generation and leading ETHZ benchmark performance.

What do you guys think? Did MediaTek finally make it this year?
