Speculations regarding the upcoming "Peek Performance" event

The company will present the devices through a live stream on Apple's official website. Allegedly, the event will be broadcasted from its headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Apple has hosted online-only events since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago. It is currently assessing when the employees may return to the normal office set-up as the Omicron variant weakens.

The invitation to the media for the Peek Performance was sent via email. It shows a rainbow Apple logo that gives the impression of movement across a black background. The tagline reads:  "Peek performance".

However, the Cupertino giant did not reveal the lineup for the product launch. It just included an augmented reality effect in its marketing page for the event that could hint at an aspect of the event.

The "Peek Performance" event is considered another milestone for Apple since it targets to stay on track with its product launch schedule. To recall, the company transformed its Worldwide Developers Conference into a virtual event when the pandemic took place.

In terms of product line-up, there are rumors suggesting that the tech giant is introducing the third iPhone SE, a revamped iPad, and at least one new Mac.

The model is expected to have the same design as the current model but with a faster processor, improved cameras, and 5G connectivity.

The Peek performance tagline could be referring to the possibility that Apple provides a teaser look (peek) at one of the new ultra-powerful Mac Pro or iMac Pro models.

People also anticipate an updated iPad Air that sports a faster processor and is already 5G-enabled. It is expected to have the iOS 15.4 which will allow unlocking the device with a face mask.

At the upcoming event, Apple is also expected to discuss its upcoming iOS 15.4 software, a free upgrade for its most recent iPhones and iPads.

Previously, the company has already said that it's building new Face ID unlock features to work with medical masks, as well as anti-stalking alerts related to its AirTag smart trackers.

Note that there's no official announcement from Apple yet so we have to take all of this information with a grain of salt.

Let's wait for the official announcements on March 8.
