Grab adding Quiet Mode for people who don't want small talk during the ride

Have a "Quiet" ride with Grab's new feature!

The new feature has been silently rolled out to select users for testing. Users will receive an auto-generated message right after booking that provides an opportunity to reply "Quiet" to have a conversation-free ride.

Ignoring the message will mean that you have no preferences. This is ideal for people who are not up for conversations due to a long exhausting day or are simply not in the mood.

The beta testing of the feature starts on April 4 and is expected to tentatively run until the end of June. Depending on user feedback, this may or may not be a permanent feature of the app for the update in the future.

Drivers will still be able to talk about information regarding the ride such as location, protocol explanation, and route preferences.
