Globe: Our 5G mobile services could now be enjoyed by visitors from 39 countries

Local telco giant Globe recently announced that visitors from 39 countries can now enjoy Globe 5G mobile services when they arrive in the Philippines.

Globe's 5G roaming mobile services could now be enjoyed by foreign tourists!

In particular, the Globe inbound roaming partners include Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, USA, and Vietnam.

According to the company, due to its network upgrade and expansion, Globe enables tourists to 5G in major Philippine destinations.

It claimed that its 5G network now covers 93 percent of the National Capital Region.

Globe 5G service is also available in Rizal, Bulacan, Batangas, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, and Quezon in Luzon; Aklan, Cebu, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental in Visayas; and Bukidnon, Davao Del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotabato, and Zamboanga del Sur in Mindanao.

To recap, 5G provides up to 100 times faster speed than 4G and offers very low latency and higher bandwidth.

Being the preferred choice of tourists traveling to the country, we want to make sure that we can give them instant and seamless connectivity. They can take advantage of the convenience and benefits that 5G can offer by latching on to Globe’s 5G network, said Coco Domingo, Globe Vice President for Postpaid and International Business.

Foreign tourists from the above-mentioned countries just need to make sure that their SIM and devices are 5G-ready. They should also check the compatibility of their device frequency band with Globe's 5G network to ensure that the roaming subscription in their home networks allows 5G surfing.

To enable Globe 5G inbound roaming, foreign tourists should see to it that their SIM and devices are 5G-ready.

Meanwhile, both Globe Postpaid and Prepaid customers may also experience 5G roaming in 44 Globe 5G roaming-ready countries.
