Four new storage options

New V30 microSD cards from Samsung

According to the company, the new series of Pro Endurance microSD cards are optimized for Full HD and 4K video recording. These are designed to meet the "rigorous demands" of cameras for surveillance, dashboards, doorbells, body cameras, and more.

Samsung even says that these cards can record non-stop for 16 years as long as the host device manages to offload the content fast enough.

These Pro Endurance microSD cards are built with in-house NAND flash memory and are said to last as long as 33 "typical speed-focused cards" like the Evo Plus series. The read speeds are rated at up to 100MB/s while the write speeds are rated up to 40MB/s which vary depending on the capacity.

Only the 128GB and 256GB capacities are rated as Class 10 with U3 (or UHS Speed Class 3) and V30 (or Video Speed Class 30) while the 32GB and 64GB are rated as U1 and V10 cards.

The Korean giant assures customers that the Pro Endurance cards are six-proof which means that these cards are resistant to water, magnet, x-ray, wear out, and drops (of up to 5 meters).
