NBA 2K23 Special Edition to feature Micheal Jordan as cover

2K games will feature Micheal Jordan as their cover athlete for its upcoming NBA 2K23 Special Edition basketball video game.

Michael Jordan is the NBA 2K23 Special Edition cover!

The developer made the announcement after sharing the video trailer last night on their social media pages like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

2K also said that the game will also be released on September 9 and will bring back the popular Jordan Challenges from its previous basketball game titles.

The publisher made Jordan their cover photo not only because 2K23 is in line with the former Bulls super star's #23 jersey number but they also said his spirit matches the theme of this year's "MyPlayer campaign mode: Answer the Call".

After making 23 the most recognizable number in sports, it was only fitting that for NBA 2K23 we introduce the Michael Jordan Edition. Additionally, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand new premium edition of the game with the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition, as no other player embodies the word ‘champion’ like Jordan, said Alfie Brody, VP of Global Marketing Strategy 2K Games

As of the moment, the official price for the said triple-A title is still unknown. Last year's Special Edition was priced at PHP 3,590. While the standard version can be bought at PHP 2,199. Let's just hope 2K will give a price not too far from those.

There's not much information yet for the game besides those mentioned above but we will likely get more soon as the launch date gets near.  We still also have to wait for the standard version's cover athlete as well.
