Converge ICT expanded its reach with nearly 600K kilometers of fiber coverage!

This comprises a fiber optic cable network that stretches from the northernmost point of Luzon to islands in the Visayas and Mindanao.

In order to ensure that more Filipinos have access to the internet and to build redundancy into its network so that it can provide the best experience possible to its customers, Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy said that the company continues its aggressive investments to expand its fiber footprint in more areas of the country.

In addition, Converge claimed to have added more than 1.7 million fiber ports throughout Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao over the same time frame, expanding to new cities and municipalities and expanding the existing coverage areas.

In July, Converge received the Ookla Speedtest Awards for Q1–Q2 2022's Top-rated Fixed Network. Since the award is determined by user reviews, it reflects the preferences and sentiments of most Filipino customers. Ratings are focused on the customer's overall digital experience rather than just speed.

According to the company, it has already installed more than 600,000 fiber ports throughout Visayas and Mindanao as of the end of July, more than double the 300,000 ports it had planned to roll out by the end of 2021. Additionally, Converge had increased the number of houses it might reach by June 2022 to nearly 13.5 million.

Converge expands its network expansion operations to reach millions of families and companies in the nation through its dual strategies of "Go Deep" and "Go National."

With over 563,000 kilometers of fiber optic assets nationwide, it has one of the most extensive
fiber networks in the Philippines.
