The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition is now official. It has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor but a bigger 18GB RAM capacity.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition with 18GB RAM launched

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition features a design said to be inspired by the light and shadow of time travel. It also integrates the shuttle ridgeline at the back as well. The orientation of the triple-rear cameras also simulates the design of a porthole.

The back is made out of ceramic material with a nano-casting process finish. In front, it has a tall 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 2480 x 1080 FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, up to 1500 nits brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. It also has a third-gen under-screen camera technology housing a 16MP selfie camera.

Inside, it features the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor, next-gen Adreno GPU, up to 18GB LPDDR5 AM, up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage, and 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

For the cameras, it has a triple-camera setup with a 64MP f/1.6 Sony IMX7877 main camera with OIS + 64MP Sony IMX787 ultra-wide-angle sensor + 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 5.7x optical zoom, TOF sensor, and LED flash.

It runs Android 12 with MyOS 12 on top. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, WiFi 6E, 5G NSA/SA, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB-C.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition is only available in Black. It is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on December 6.
