Converge CEO has donated land to his alma mater!
The said school is known as "Chevalier" located in Angeles City, Pampanga and he does this as his way to highlight the importance of education, just like what his late father used to advocate for.
Chevalier, and of course my father, taught me what true service is all about. It is devoting time, resources, and energy to improve the lives of others. This is why I am donating a 3-hectare property in Angeles for the use of Chevalier School Inc. This school will be located within the grounds of the Tech City, and will be named in honor of my father, Chun Ching Wong Uy, said the Converge CEO in his acceptance speech during the Chevalier awarding ceremony.
Uy has also been acknowledged by the school as Outstanding Alumnus for giving out considerable efforts not just in the community but in the entire country as well and his accomplishments also bring distinction to the Chevalier Institution.

The CEO thanked the School which has also brought him valuable teachings in life and that he was able to reach success because of them.
It was this school that taught me the value of serving others. Something that my father, who recently passed, also taught me. My father also valued education and he thought highly of the Chevalier School, the Converge Co-Founder recalled.
The said donated land will rise within the Tech City that Uy is building in Pampanga and He envisions this to become the "Philippine Silicon Valley" which will have innovator labs and incubator hubs that should serve as a foundation for the nation's next generation of tech entrepreneurs.
The Business tycoon said that just like what his father has taught him, serving people is what describes Converge's role. Right now, the telco provides internet services to approximately 2 million Filipino homes and has a coverage of close to 13.5 million houses.
