Globe's assisted SIM registration now in 30 more areas

Globe Telecom started the month by deploying assisted SIM registration initiative to 30 more areas.

Registration booths available in more remote areas

The company said in a statement that its booths would cover far-flung towns from northern to southern provinces until Friday, February 3.

We are undertaking a multi-pronged effort to be as inclusive as we can in the SIM registration process. Globe is there for our customers whether online or offline. We will work alongside the government all the way in bringing support for SIM registration on the ground where our customers need us, said Cleo Santos, head of Globe's Channel Management Group.

Globe said the registration booths can assist everyone, especially senior citizens, PWDs, those using basic/feature phones, or those without internet access.

For those wanting to register at Globe's deployed booths, they must prepare the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Address
  • Government ID with photo
  • Mobile number

As of end-January, Globe said more than 11 million subscribers are registered.

The deadline for SIM registration is until April 26 of this year.
