HUAWEI Band 8 with AMOLED screen, SpO2 monitoring, and 14 day battery launched!

HUAWEI has introduced its latest smart band in China. It features an AMOLED touchscreen, 50 meters of water resistance, and blood oxygen monitoring.

45-minute charging time?

Alongside the new nova series, HUAWEI also introduced the successor to its Band 7. It features the same 1.47-inch AMOLED 2.5D touch screen with 368 x 194 resolution, but now has a personalized dial that the company says will match the user's outfit. 

The watch measures 43.45 x 24.54 x 8.99 mm and weighs 14 grams. Its water resistance rated for up to 50 meters. 

Inside are the accelerometer, gyroscope, and optical heart rate sensors. The sensors allow the device to effectively use the following: HUAWEI TruSeen 5.0 24-hour heart rate monitoring, HUAWEI TruSleep 3.0 sleep training, HUAWEI TruRelax stress tracking, and Menstrual cycle tracking. It also monitors and records Blood oxygen or SpO2.

Included are over 100 different workout modes. This includes 11 professional workouts such as indoor and outdoor running, cycling, and rope skipping.

The Band also allows for quick control of music, camera, messaging, and incoming calls.

It connects wirelessly to other devices thru Bluetooth 5.0. It is compatible with smartphones with Android 6.0 and above and iOS 9.0 and above. The NFC edition is the only variant with NFC.

The internal battery is rated for 14 days and is said to charge for only 45 minutes.

Lastly, the Band 8 comes in either Emerald Green, Vibrant Orange, Magic Night Black, and Sakura Powder colorways.

It is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale in stores this April 28, 2023.

There is no word yet on International or Philippine availability and pricing.
