The Nothing Phone (2) back design

With a starting price of just PHP 38,990, it is one of the highly anticipated phones in 2023 bringing refreshed transparent design, upgraded internals, cameras,, and software.

Nothing Phone (2) Five best features!

1. Refreshed transparent design/Glyph interface - This is straight up Nothing's identity.

The phone (2), now has 3D curved glass at the back instead of the previous flat layout on the Phone (1). It is still see-through letting you view the inside of the phone and the wireless charging pad.

The Glyph's lights are upgraded with more zones of LED lighting (33 zones) allowing users to have a more granular control of the phone's lighting effects.

2. Immersive screen experience - The first gen already had slim bezels, this 2nd gen has an even slimmer bezel providing users captivating viewing experience.

Also, the screen features a bigger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, and FHD+ resolution, and comes with Gorilla Glass protection from unwanted drops or scratches.

3. Near flagship performance - While Nothing didn't go for the most powerful Qualcomm chip as of this writing, they opted for the 2nd best which is the SD8+1G1 octa-core processor.

Undoubtedly, it is still one of the most capable processors this year and should provide smooth performance after a while.

On top of that, the chip is paired with a hefty 12GB RAM and sizable 256GB or 512GB storage.

4. Upgraded main camera sensor - The Phone (2) now uses the 50MP f/1.88 Sony IMX 890 w/ OIS, EIS combo and they also retained the trusty 50MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1 114-degree ultra-wide shooter w/ 4cm macro capability + LED flash.

On the selfie side, it has the 32MP f/2.45 Sony IMX615.

5. Nothing OS 2 - The Nothing brand took the software experience seriously and has hired 100 staff to further optimize their OS. It now brings substantial upgrades improving the overall look, making it smoother, adding glyph composer, improving camera features, easy-to-use widgets, and more.

The brand promises to provide up to 3 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates to the users.

As someone who used the Phone (1), I can personally say that the firm is consistent in providing updates, and that's been done even without the recent increase in developers. It may just show that the brand can do more with the additional hired staff.
