Sony introduced its new powerful and room-filling party-focused wireless speaker with Bluetooth 5.2, a 25-hour battery rating, and quick charging.
The new speaker is designed for bigger parties. It features Omni-directional Party Sound that Sony says carries powerful sound to every corner of the room. It features 2 two-way, bass-reflex speakers, 5 tweeters (3 60mm tweeter units in front, 2 40mm tweeter units at the back), and 2 Woofer 170-170mm units.
It connects wirelessly to other devices via Bluetooth 5.2. Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, and LDAC. It supports Stereo Pair and Party Connect.
The speaker comes with a Stereo Mini Jack (in), USB-A, Optical Digital Input, Mic input, Guitar, and MIC input.
Powering the speaker is a 120-240V AC 50/60 Hz power supply and an internal rechargeable battery which is rated for 25 hours of listening time. Sony says that 10 minutes of charging will yield up to 3 hours of playtime.
It features indirect illumination which produces ambient light. These lights sync automatically to the beat and rhythm of the music.
The body is rated for IPX4(when placed vertically) or IPX2 (when placed horizontally) water resistance. It measures 317 x 720 x 375 mm and weighs 18.5 kg.
Built-in to the speakers are wheels and a handle that lets users roll the speaker wherever they may want it to be.
The speaker's TV Sound Booster function lets users enjoy an enhanced sound and immerse the listener. It can be paired with another speaker for stereo pairing.
Inside the box is the speaker, an AC power cord and an optical cable.
It also has a USB-A port that charges a smartphone with 5V 1.5A.
