Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G announced: iPhone-like design, 6.79-inch screen, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

Android device maker Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi 12 5G in India.

Redmi has a new budget-friendly 5G-ready smartphone!

On the exterior, the device brings an iPhone-like back camera placement, Crystal Glass Design, and a large 6.79-inch Gorilla Glass-protected LCD FHD+ 90Hz screen with 550 nits peak brightness. This body has an IP53 rating for water splashes and dust resistance.

Inside, it is powered by the 2.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 octa-core 5G-ready processor with Adreno GPU. It also has up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 8GB Virtual RAM (a total of up to 16GB Hybrid RAM), up to 256GB UFS 2.2 expandable storage, and a large 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 18W charging.

For cameras, it uses a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter paired with a 2MP depth camera.

In front, you will find an 8MP f/2.0 snapper for selfies.
