Intel officially announces the 14th-generation Intel Core desktop processors bringing a boost in clock speed and power efficiency.
The lineup currently comprises there variations. A Core i9, i7, and an i5 to meet the demands for entry-level, mid, and flagship.
The king of the jungle is called the Core i9-14900K/KF which boasts a whopping up to 6Hz clock speed and a base clock of 3.2GHz. It comprises of 24-cores and 32 threads while the cores are divided into 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores.
It has a base power draw of 125W and can go up to 253W at turbo. Meanwhile, the total cache is 36MB.
Next is the Core i7-14700K/KF which brings a remarkable improvement in efficiency cores. This new processor comes with an 8+12 combo of performance core and efficiency core coming from the 8+8 design from the predecessor.
This also boasts up to 5.6GHz max clock speed and 3.4GHz speeds on base level. According to Intel, this should bring significant yet powerful and efficient performance for different tasks and software.
Finally, the Core i5-14600K uses 14 cores and consists of 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores.
This has a base clock of 3.5GHz and can boost up to 5.3GHz under heavy loads.
