OPPO A79 5G higlights: Dimensity 6020, 50MP camera and 5,000mAh battery!

OPPO revealed another A-series known as the A79 5G and here are its highlights.

The phone's design

The phone boasts a "strike the perfect balance between sleek design, smooth performance, and fast charging" tagline. As you can see it has a marble-like design in the Glowing Green color but there's also the Black version if you prefer a much simpler one. You can also notice a squarish camera island that houses two sensors.

The two colorways

At the front, it has a smooth refresh rate display of up to 90Hz with a size of 6.72-inch. OPPO even claimed you can see through it under direct sunlight with its 680 nits of peak brights. Moreover, it has glass protection called the Panda Glass.

Inside, the phone is equipped 5G processor known as Dimensity 6020. It has 7nm lithography with a boost clock of up to 2.2GHz, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Then it is paired with 8GB RAM and a single 128GB internal storage.

The features

For battery, the A79 5G uses a large 5,000mAh capacity that charges using USB-C and fast 33W SUPERVOOC.

In the camera department, it has a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 primary sensor + 2MP portrait shooter + LED flash. Meanwhile, it also has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Other features are stereo speakers with Ultra Volume Mode, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an IP54 rating. 

Connectivity-wise, it has 5G, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.

For OS, the phone runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1.

The phone is currently listed on the OPPO India website with a price of INR 19,999 or PHP 13.6K and is available on Flipkart and Amazon. OPPO has not yet announced if they will bring this to the Philippines.
