In particular, the new HUAWEI flagship achieved a Photo score of 160, a Bokeh score of 80, a Preview score of 83, a Zoom score of 152, and a Video score of 148 for an Overall Camera Score of 157 points.

157 is the highest among all the smartphones that DxOMark has ever tested yet. 

The HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro+ bested its stablemate P60 Pro with 156 points, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max with 154 points, and the Google Pixel 8 Pro and OPPO Find X6 Pro with 153 points.

The Photo score of 160 is also better than everyone else. The Mate 60 Pro+ also tied the 80 Bokeh score of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. For Video, Apple is still the highest with a score of 158.

According to DxOMark,
Thanks to HUAWEI's expertise in imaging software and upgraded imaging hardware, the Mate 60 Pro+ has surpassed its predecessor with a camera score of 157, making it the new top spot on the global Camera ranking. The balanced development in exposure, color, zoom, noise control makes it a versatile device that can meet the needs of almost all users in different usage scenarios. The device scored highest in outdoor, indoor and portrait use case. In the still imaging test, this Huawei phone is by far the best device, taking first place in the photo sub-score for its excellent performance in both photo and zoom.

It added that the camera phone shoots images with a very wide dynamic range, accurate exposure on portraits and landscape shots, and nice colors in most conditions. It also has good texture/noise trade-off in photo and zoom as well as very good detail and low noise levels.

The autofocus is also fast and accurate, the video stabilization is fairly effective, and the variable aperture allows for an optimized depth of field for each scene. It also has a nice blur effect as well as accurate subject isolation in portrait mode and a pleasant macro perspective with its 3.5x telephoto sensor.

To recap, the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro+ boasts a 
48MP f/1.4-4.0 main camera with OIS, a 48MP f/3.0 90mm equiv periscope camera with macro and OIS, and a 40MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with an LED flash. It is capable of 3.5x to 100x zoom. For selfies, it uses a 13MP f/2.4 selfie camera with two 3D ToF depth cameras.
