Another audio innovation?

Fashion-forward in design, the new HUAWEI FreeClip are open-back earbuds that were made to target people who prefer in-ear wireless earphones while still being aware of their surroundings. Its clip design is made of three parts: Comfort Bean, Acoustic Ball and C-Bridge Design.

The Comfort Bean has an ergonomic shape that moulds to the ear. The Acoustic Ball is shaped like the real cavum concha models to allegedly make it more comfortable. The C-bridge design on the other hand includes an adaptive sensor adjusting the clasp mechanism's clamping force. It also features 9 core wires in its thin cantilever arm.

Inside each earbud has a 55mAh battery while the charging case has a 510mAh battery that charges thru USB-C and thru 2W wireless charging. On its own, the earbuds are rated for 8 hours of playtime. When including the charging case, the FreeClip can last for up to 36 hours.

Each earbud is IP 54 water and dust resistance rated and each bud measures 26.7 x 22 x 25.3 mm and weighs 0.3 grams. The charging case is not water resistant and it measures 59.7 x 51.95 x 27.35mm. It weighs 2 grams.

The FreeClip supports SBC, AAC, and L2HC audio codecs. The device features VPU, IMU, Hall and CAP sensors. Users control the wearable by taping on the Acoustic ball, the C-bridge or the comfort bean. Double tap to play/pause audio or answer/end a call. Triple tap plays the next track.

It comes in either Purple or Black.
