Key specs and highlights of HUAWEI nova Y72
Ahead of its launch, the company posted the key specs and other details about the handset.
Undeniably, one of the key highlights of this device is it shares some similarities in terms of design compared to the high-end HUAWEI P60 Pro.
In particular, it has a similar-looking camera island and layout sans the periscope camera and the high-end sensors. It also has a flatter 2.5D curved back instead of a 3D curved design.
It is available in Green and Black colorways.

Coming from the Y71, what's new here is it now has an X Button to easily access your most frequently used apps. You may double-press it or hold it down to activate it.

Also, it now has a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with AF instead of 48MP. However, the ultra-wide shooter is gone. The secondary shooter is only a filler 2MP macro sensor.
The device also now has 256GB of internal storage instead of just 128GB.
For the rest of the specs, it is similar to its predecessor. It still sports the massive 6,000mAh "Super Battery" that can last up to 31 hours of local video playback on a single charge.
Speaking of charging, the handset supports 22.5W of fast charging with 20 layers of charging safeguards to ensure fast yet safe charging.
