200MP smartphone cameras may sound too intimidating initially, but they have been widely available recently hoping to improve the mobile photography experience.

200MP camera goodness?

Since its first introduction in 2022, more and more brands are now using it even in the mid-range price category.

While 200MP cameras don't automatically guarantee a better photo and video experience than other high-end image sensors, they give their users the ability to do near lossless in-sensor crops even if it isn't paired with a telephoto camera. It can stack more pixels into a 12MP sensor to output images that perform stronger even in low light as well.

realme 11 Pro+ camera

1. realme 11 Pro+ 5G - Priced at PHP 24,999, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G is one of the more capable camera phones for the price. It is equipped with a 200MP f/1.69 Samsung ISOCELL HP3 with a 1/1.4-inch large sensor size designed to take high-quality images in different lighting conditions.

It is paired with a 12MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide-angle w/ 2.5cm AF Super Macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth + LED flash. In front, it goes with a large 50MP f/2.4 camera.

3. Infinix ZERO Ultra - This device was first introduced in late 2022, but it is still a relevant phone in early 2024 if you are looking for a good camera-focused smartphone, especially for its new starting sale price of PHP 16,899.

4. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G - At PHP 20,999, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G also has a large 1/1.4-inch 200MP f/1.65 with Super QPD Autofocus and OIS.

It has pretty fast focus speeds and can capture good-quality images in different lighting scenarios.

It also has an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. In front, it packs a 16MP f/2.45 snapper.

For us, this is one of the better Xiaomi camera phones today.

Bonus: If you are on a super-tight budget and you want to experience the 200MP goodness, the most affordable today is the Redmi Note 13 Pro starting at PHP 13,999. It even packs the similar 200MP f/1.65 OIS camera found on the higher-end Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Just note that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a stronger chipset with a better image signal processor so don't expect their 200MP cameras to perform the same.
