Infinix has launched the 4G and 5G editions of ZERO 40 featuring attractive designs and internals.
Both devices come with a premium-looking design with a metallic finish and a large rounded camera bump. The 5G edition gets Pink, Black, and White colorways while the 4G variant gets Black, Pink, and a unique marble textured Blue Green color.
In front, both have 6.74-inch curved AMOLED panel with FHD+ screen, 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, In-Display fingerprint scanner and 50MP Samsung JN1 selfie camera.
Inside, the ZERO 40 4G uses a 2.2GHz 6nm Helio G100 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB memory options.
The ZERO 40 5G uses a stronger 3.1GHz 4nm Dimensity 8200 with Mali-G615 GPU paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.
For batteries, both come with 5,000mAh capacities and 45W wired charging. But the 5G version gets 20W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
For cameras, the versions feature a 108MP Samsung HM6 sensor with OIS + 50MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth. The ZERO 40 4G is limited to 2K resolution 30fps video recording while the 5G variant can go all the way up to 4K 60 fps.
Both versions also get the pre-installed GoPro mode where users can easily pair their compatible GoPro cameras and utilize the phone as a viewfinder enabling them to control the action camera right from their ZERO 40 Series devices.
The ZERO 40 5G comes with 5G connectivity, 4G LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth, and GPS support.
The ZERO 40 4G obviously gets 4G connectivity but is toned down with WiFi 5 version, Bluetooth, and GPS as well.
For OS, the two phones run Android 14 OS with XOS 14.5 skin on top. They are also promised up to Android 16 update and 3 years of security patches.

These phones are now available for pre-order in Malaysia the open sales begin on September 8. No word yet for the PH launch though so stay tuned.
