HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 3 announced: Lightweight design, up to 42 hours batt life, BT 5.4, budget price tag

Technology giant HUAWEI recently released the FreeBuds SE 3, the upgrade of the ultra-affordable FreeBuds SE 2 last year.

From its predecessor, the new FreeBuds SE 3 arrived with an improved design and now features fine-grained synthetic leather for its charging case and an even lighter body at just 3.8 grams.

IP54 dust and water splash-resistant

The device also features an IP54 dust and water splash resistance and is said to be designed for a natural fit based on the analysis of 10,000+ ear canals.

The "advanced speaker" driver of the buds is still 10mm, and due to its acoustic design, it promises a "sterling sound."

It still has a microphone with call noise cancellation as well as a touch sensor for playing music, skipping tracks, answering calls, and voice assistant.

The charging case design

The device connects with the new Bluetooth 5.4 which improves latency and connection from previous BT versions. The codecs supported are SBC and AAC. It also has a long press to pair for EMUI 10 or later devices.

Each bud can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. With the charging case, users can enjoy up to 42 hours of battery life. A 10-minute charge could give 3 hours of music playback.

The company also claimed that the buds have passed the company's 26 stringent tests to ensure durability and reliability
