vivo introduces the new V50 with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, a 120Hz AMOLED screen and 50MP Zeiss cameras for the Indian Market.

Slimmest 6,000mAh phone in India?

The new vivo V50 is the first smartphone in India to use 3D star technology. It transforms the back panel into what the brand says is a living, breathing canvas that interacts with the environment. The phone measures 163.29 x 76.72 x 7.39 mm and weighs 189 grams. It is IP68 and IP69 dust and water-resistant rated. It will also come in either Titanium Gray or Rose Red colorways in India.

In front is the 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 2,392 x 1,080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 480 touch sampling rate. It has 4,500 nits peak brightness and it supports HDR10+. The panel is Diamond Shield Glass Protected. Under the panel is the optical fingerprint scanner.

Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 octa-core processor, an Adreno 720 GPU, an 8 GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, a 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging via USB-C.

At the back are the 50MP f/1.88 main camera with Omnivision OV50E 1.55-inch sensor and Zeiss optics, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera with Samsung JN1 sensor with an LED flash while on the punch hole is the 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor.

Other features include stereo speakers, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and Android 15-based FunTouchOS 15.
