vivo V50 5G confirmed to launch in PH on February 27

vivo V50 5G is coming to PH soon, and now the brand has confirmed the launch date and it is just a few days away.

To recap, the device is teased to arrive with an eye-catching luxurious Ancora Red color. The brand says the vivo V50 continues its tradition of creating stylish smartphones, featuring eye-catching designs like photochromic finishes and fluorite accents. 

It added, the Ancora Red colorway, in particular, stands out with its bold and vibrant tone, symbolizing passion and confidence. This makes the V50 5G a fitting choice for millennials and Gen Z users who are trendsetters and style leaders.

The ZEISS cameras

Meanwhile, the phone maker still has collaborated with ZEISS for that unique imaging technology. The said device will feature a 50MP ZEISS OIS main shooter + a 50MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera and a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera.

The company also highlights some of the camera features to expect such as:

• Crisp, natural portraits - the phone's camera uses CIPA 4.0 DSLR-level stabilization, vivo noted its cameras reduce the motion blur for tack-sharp images particularly if the subject is in motion.
• Groufie-focus front camera - Its selfie camera has a 92-degree wide-angle AF to ensure clear shots while covering a wider range and producing minimal distortions on its subjects.
• Wide rear camera - Just like the front, one of the vivo V50's back cameras also features an ultra-wide sensor covering up to 119 degrees Field of View (FOV) allowing users to capture breathtaking landscapes, architecture, and surroundings with ease.

Apart from these highlighted capabilities, the vivo V50 also sports a large 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 4nm SD 7 Gen 3, 6,000mAh battery + 90W fast charging.

Meanwhile, vivo also held an online challenge for the fans called "Bring Me Color Red with vivo V50". It's a contest where fans must submit their artistic photo or video entry for a chance to win a luxurious Gucci Lipstick in Rosso Ancora shade. The brand will pick a winner on Feb 27, 2025, until 11:59 pm only.

Finally, the device is expected to go official in the Philippines this coming February 27, 2025.
