587 new 5G sites from Globe to boost availability and connectivity
To accomondate the rising demand for high-speed mobile services and strengthened its connectivity nationwide, Globe said that they aggressively rolled out the said 5G sites throughout the country in 2024.
In December 2024 alone, Globe's 5G network serviced over 9 million devices.
In particular, the telco now covers 98.69 percent of the National Capital Region (NCR) and 96.95 percent of key cities throughout Visayas and Mindadanao serving approximately 106 towns.
Moreover, Globe is driving 5G adoption through hyper-personalization and strategic global partnerships with 168 inbound and 182 outbound 5G partners in 99 destinations.
Globe also announced that the company is building 1,212 new cell sites, upgrading 4,613 sites with LTE, and deploying 67,456 FTTH lines.
These network expansion, upgrades, and general network infrastructre invesments are designed to ensure equal access to the digital economy and improve customer experience across all communities.
For the country's progress, these upgrades also supports digital transformation, innovation, and economic progress in the Philippines.
