Building the Philippines' EV Charging Network

Leading Electric Vehicle distributor and charging solutions provider, ACMoblity, has launched its fastest EV chargers yet at the Corinthian Carpark in Makati City.

The new charging stations include 9 DC CCS2 slots, with four 240kW chargers (each with dual guns), and one 480kW UltraFast charger - currently the fastest in the country. These high-performance chargers can power compatible electric vehicles in as little as 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the battery capacity and environmental conditions. Designed for efficiency and scalability, the chargers feature 1,000-amp air-cooled cables and a dedicated pull-through slot for larger EVs and minibuses, ensuring accessibility for all users.

Every charging session at the Corinthian Carpark is powered by 100 percent renewable energy through a partnership with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), aligning with the Department of Energy's Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), and the national target of 35 percent renewable energy by 2030.

“Makati is a hub for sustainability and innovation, making it the ideal location for our most advanced EV chargers,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility. “These SuperFast and UltraFast chargers provide unmatched convenience, empowering drivers, businesses, and communities to embrace electric mobility with ease.”

The chargers are integrated with ACMobility's all-in-one EV app called 'Evro'. With Evro, users can locate available chargers, initiate and monitor charging sessions, and make secure, cashless payments. The app also provides real-time updates on network expansion, promotions, and new station launches, making it an essential tool for Filipino EV drivers.

Charging is priced at only PHP 35/kWh, with membership plans offering up to 20 percent savings. Additionally, ACMobility's innovative Power-on-Wheels (POW) mobile DC fast-charging units bring reliable energy to high-demand areas with limited infrastructure currently available in Makati, Taguig, and Mandaluyong, with plans to expand to Muntinlupa, Pasay, Pasig, Manila, San Juan, and Quezon City.

Makati is currently the most electrified City in ACMobility's network, boasting 70 active EV charging points across 16 locations. By the end of 2025, ACMobility plans to expand this to 100 charge points across 22 locations, contributing to its goal of installing over 700 charge points nationwide.

ACMobility says that the Makati launch is a key step in ACMobility's Mission to create the Philippine EV Spine, a nationwide network of fast-charging stations designed to make electric mobility seamless and accessible.
