HONOR Magic V Flip2 launched: SD8G3, 200MP camera, and 5,500mAh battery

After the teasers, HONOR launches the Magic V Flip 2 with the largest battery yet for a clamshell foldable.

Fashion-forward compact flip

The Magic V Flip 2 is HONOR's compact foldable with a premium design, SGS durability certification, and boasts an IP58/IP59 rating for dust and water resistance.

The special edition

It features a 4.0-inch cover screen with 1200 x 1092 resolution and 3,600 nits peak brightness.

The main display packs a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel with 2868 x 1232, 120Hz refresh rate, and 5,000 nits peak brightness.

Inside, the phone is powered by a 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core chip with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage.

The features

Among the phone's highlights is the 5,500mAh battery capacity, making it the largest yet in a compact foldable phone. Additionally, it is paired with an 80W power brick and has 50W wireless charging support.

For cameras, the phone uses a 200MP f/1.9 1/1.4-inch primary sensor with OIS, a  50MP ultra-wide snapper, and an  LED flash. For selfies, it 50MP shooter.

Other features mentioned are stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For connectivity, the phone has WiFi 7, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

On the software side, the Magic V Flip2 runs on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0.1 skin on top.
