15,000mAh on a slim phone? WILD |
Innovative battery-focused smartphones
At the realme 828 Fan Festival in China, realme showcased a new smartphone with a superior battery system.
The device arrived in an 8.89mm slim and futuristic-looking profile, but with a jaw-dropping 15,000mAh battery capacity.
According to realme, its 15,000mAh battery has with 100 percent silicon anode, which is said to be 4x denser than conventional Si-C (silicon-carbon) batteries.
To make this possible, realme switched to solid electrolytes, optimized the battery packing process, and reworked the motherboard components.
The result? The realme 15,000mAh phone has 1,200Wh/L energy density. On X (formerly Twitter), realme claims that it can last for 5 days, can shoot up to 18 hours of video, and has 50 hours of video playback on a single charge. It also supports 30 hours of straight gaming and could be used as a power bank (reverse charging mode) to charge other devices when needed.

Meanwhile, the other device showcased is the realme Chill Fan Phone.
realme claims that this is the world's first AC smartphone with up to 6 degrees Celsius cooling.
Reports said that it has a large 7,700mm2 vapor chamber, a spinning fan for heat dissipation, and a thermoelectric cooler. This could be beneficial in running highly demanding games with consistent frame rates even after long hours of usage.
Note that these are concept phones to show that these technologies are possible.
There is no information on when realme phones with technologies like these will be released.
