Redmi Note 15 launched: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 5,800mAh batttery, 50MP camera

Xiaomi announces the Redmi Note 15 Series today. Here are the complete details for the vanilla Note 15 model.

The phone's design

Redmi Note 15 is now official

The new model emphasizes a slim (7.35mm) and durable design coupled with balanced performance. The phone is available in Star White, Green, and Black colorways and packs an IP66 rating for dust and splash resistance.

In front, it features a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 2560Hz gaming response rate. 

It also achieves a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, supports 12-bit color with DCI-P3 gamut, and carries TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification along with high-frequency PWM dimming. 

The features

The Redmi Note 15 is powered by the 2.4GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core chipset,  paired with an Adreno GPU. The phone is available in 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options.

Furthermore, the device also boasts a 5,800mAh battery, which supports USB-C 45W PD fast charging. Additionally, it also features 18W reverse wired charging and includes a Surge G1 power management chip.

Its rear camera system consists of a primary 50MP Light Hunter 400 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. 

The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, EIS, film filters, document scanning, and an automatic night mode. An 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and supports portrait, night, and time-lapse modes.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.

For connectivity, the phone supports WiFi 6,  5G dual standby, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, an infrared remote, and dual SIM.

Finally, the device runs with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2, based on Android 15.

The Redmi Note 15 is now available in China. No word yet for a PH release as of the moment.
