Build/Design
 |
The design |
The Infinix GT 30 boasts a glass material on the back with a glossy finish. The frame is made of polycarbonate material for lightweight and durable construction.
The GT 30 also features an IP64 dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, including Wet and Greasy Touch support.
 |
With LEDs or none? |
In terms of design, it retained the "gamer-friendly" aesthetics of the GT Series thanks to the futuristic back and its Mechanical Light Waves feature. It provides different animations usable for notifications, charging, and gaming.
 |
The GT Triggers |
Moreover, it is very slim and even comes with shoulder triggers (will talk more about it later).
The POCO X7 is made of polycarbonate material on both the back and the frames. This is designed to have better drop and impact resistance. POCO added strengthened frame corners, improved PCB's thickness, and interior aluminum composite. It can withstand extreme cold temperatures, plus it uses a much tougher Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has a more capable IP68 rating of dust and water resistance.
For its design, the POCO X7 uses dual-tone fusion for a minimalist appearance. For our unit, it has Dark Green in the center, while the outer has Light Green. Its square camera island also has a glossy finish, providing a cross reflection when the light hits it.
POCO is slightly ahead in the screen toughness department, but it's up to you what you prefer in terms of design: gamer or minimalist?
Multimedia Experience
The Infinix GT 30 features a crisp 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K 2770 x 1224 resolution at 440 pixel density. It has a 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, 2340Hz PWM dimming, and 4,500 nits peak brightness.
 |
Flat or curved screen? |
The POCO X7 has a slightly smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colors, 2560Hz instant touch sampling rate, and 3,000 nits peak brightness.
 |
Infinix GT 30 (left), POCO X7 (right) |
POCO brings slightly sharper, better colors at 68.7B and faster touch response. But if you prefer a larger, smoother display, safer eye care, and higher peak brightness, the GT 30 has an edge in this area.
Both features have stereo speakers for immersive listening. POCO has a generally louder volume but with noticeable distortion and hisses at max levels. You'll get decent quality if you tone them down.
Meanwhile, the Infinix GT 30 has slightly weaker volume but produces a much cleaner output than POCO's. It produces a more decent mid and highs while the bass is minimally present.
Performance, Gaming Experience
 |
Infinix GT 30 vs POCO X7 AnTuTu |
The Infinix GT 30 features a 2.6GHz 4nm Dimensity 7400 octa-core chip with Mali-G615 MC2, 8GB/256GB memory, and a 5,500mAh battery with 45W charging and Bypass charging.
Meanwhile, the POCO X7 uses a 2.5GHz 4nm Dimensity 7300 SoC with Mali-G615 GPU, 8GB/256GB, 5,110mAh battery + 45W fast charger.
 |
Gaming performance |
In terms of performance, they are almost neck and neck. But the Infinix GT 30 edges out the POCO X7 a bit due to the 0.1 faster clock speed. For graphics, they both use the same GPU, so you really won't notice their differences, at least in the benchmarks.
Specs and real-life performance are comparable, but gaming is more fun on the Infinix GT 30—thanks to its wide array of gaming-centric features
But Infinix has collaborated with multiple game developers to ensure the phone will have a more stable 120 fps gaming experience in titles like MLBB, HOK, ROV, FreeFire, Standoff 2, and more.
 |
110-120 fps |
It also features dedicated shoulder triggers (called GT Trigger) to aid users in shooting games like PUBG or CODM. It can even act as an additional button for games like Mobile Legends or HONOR of Kings, thus giving a slight advantage depending on the scenario.
In our experience, the GT Trigger is very accurate
Furthermore, the touch-sensitive trigger can also be used as a camera shutter or quickly launch an app from the shortcuts.
 |
GT Trigger |
For cooling, the Infinix has a larger 20,000mm² heat dissipation area over POCO's 13780mm². This means that the Infinix will cool faster and better during intense gaming sessions, ensuring a lag-free experience.
 |
MagCooling Fan |
Buyers of this device receive the MagCooling Fan—an RGB cooling fan with sticker magnetic plate for easy attachment. It features a refrigeration-like effect and auto-activates Extreme Mode via XBOOST to enhance performance and prevent overheating during gaming.
The GT 30 also has a higher battery capacity at 5,500mAh, but both can be charged using a 45W power adaptor. Moreover, Infinix also uses BypassCharging technology and 30W wireless charging support.
In real life, the Infinix GT 30 delivers roughly around 14-15 hours of mixed usage with 20 percent left in the tank at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, the POCO X7 also performed decently at around 11-12 hours of mixed usage before reaching 20 percent.
Charging takes about 50 minutes to an hour using the stock charger.
Bypass Charging helps preserve battery health, and reverse wired/wireless charging lets the phone double as a power bank.
Cameras
Infinix GT 30 offers a 64MP f/1.75 shooter + 8MP ultra-wide-angle + dual LED flash.
POCO X7 uses a 50MP f/1.6 Sony LYT-600 sensor + 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro.

Night selfie |
Both have plenty of features, filters, and settings to help users take decent images. Both even have a Portrait mode with adjustable digital aperture, beautification, and filters, as well as a capable Night mode—not bad for gaming phones.
Speaking of quality, even if the POCO X7 is packed with a Sony LYT sensor, I slightly prefer the shots from the Infinix GT 30 Pro, as the exposure is generally clearer and details are a bit sharper at the back. Shots from the POCO phone are overly saturated most of the time.
Portraits by default are closer on the POCO X7, but again, I prefer the output and edge detection from the Infinix GT 30. Colors are just truer, and your subject will be more detailed.
Specs are similar for ultra-wide. The field of view from the GT 30 is narrower and shows more artifacts. I prefer the wider and more detailed ultra-wide shots from the POCO.
POCO also has a 3rd sensor with macro capabilities.
But in the dark, the Infinix GT 30 shines. Again, exposure is better. Noise is less as well. AND, colors are closer to natural. Shooting speed is about the same.
For selfies, the POCO X7 has a slightly 20MP f/2.2 shooter over Infinix's 13MP f/2.2 front sensor camera. Our test shows that its exposure is slightly darker, but details are sharper and colors are a bit more accurate. The beautification is stronger on the POCO phone, which may turn off some users, though.
Both phones can record up to 4K 30 fps videos using the main camera at the back. Picture quality is about the same, but the Ultra Steady of the Infinix GT 30 by default helped in minimizing shake better than the POCO X7.
For selfie videos, the Infinix GT 30 is ahead for me as it can record up to 4K fps videos with Ultra Steady, even if it is cropped. In my experience, videos from the Infinix GT 30 are even more detailed for selfies, even if its megapixel count is lower on paper.
If you are a gamer and creator in one, the offering from Infinix might suit you slightly better.
Other features
Infinix GT 30 comes with an accurate In-Display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, and X-axis linear motor.
POCO also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
For connectivity, both have WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G LTE, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.
The software experience
 |
Infinix UI |
Infinix GT 30 runs on Android 15 with XOS 15.1. We also like that it has the XArena and XBOOST AI, where users can optimize the performance of the phone for appropriate gaming experiences, ensure frame rates are stable, help users monitor temperature, enable anti-interference settings while gaming, and more.
The handset also brings OneTap AI feature, allowing users to instantly access several AI features such as Ask everything, Call Assistant, Smart Touch, Folax Voice, Circle to Search, Translator, Document Assistant, Writing Assistant, AI Note, Recording Summary, Subtitle, and more.
It also has a smooth and clean UI, and so far, we haven't encountered intrusive ads throughout our experience.
On the other hand, the POCO X7 runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.
 |
POCO UI |
It also has a fair share of AI features, such as magic eraser, sky replacement, face unlock, Beautification, and more.
The Infinix wins in this department thanks to the more updated Android version and cleaner UI.
HyperOS 2 has improved a lot, but it still has ads that you need to disable per app.
In terms of AI, both are powered by Google Gemini, though Infinix has more access to quality of life features with the more up-to-date Android version.
Infinix GT30 advantages - Gamer-friendly design, crisp flat display, slightly more powerful chip, more affordable storage, shoulder triggers, bigger battery, bypass charging, better cooling, tons of AI features, more affordable SRP
POCO X7 advantages - Slightly better build, option for larger 12GB/512GB storage
Our thoughts
Both are some of the best you can get for the price.
Despite having a more affordable price tag of just PHP 11,999, the Infinix GT 30 can legitimately compete with the POCO X7 (PHP 14,999 starting SRP).
While the POCO X7 has slightly glass protection and water resistance and an option for larger 12GB/512GB memory, the Infinix GT 30 has a slightly smoother display, a bit faster processor, larger battery life, better cooling solutions, and wireless charging.
It also has other features like bypass charging and like the GT Trigger to help mobile gamers perform better and enjoy playing games longer.
