HUAWEI Mate 70 Air spotted, will feature slim form factor

The new slim challenger?

Many phone makers such as Samsung, TECNO, Infinix, and Apple have already introduced slim smartphones ranging from entry-level to flagships. This time, it seems the Chinese tech giant HUAWEI is set to reveal their own version.

The said device is reportedly named Mate 70 Air. Details about the phone have appeared in a carrier listing and a promotional poster that showed its design. 

More recently, a user on the social platform Xiaohongshu (RedNote) shared live images of the phone.

A closer look at the design

The Mate 70 Air is shown with a display that has rounded corners and is rumored to measure 6.9 inches. The screen includes a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera and features curved edges that blend into the side frame.

On the back, a circular camera module appears to contain three sensors. According to earlier rumors, the main sensor is expected to be a 1/1.3-inch type. 

The Mate 70 Air is also reported to be approximately 6 mm thick. It is anticipated to support both a physical nano-SIM and an eSIM.

The device is expected to feature the Kirin 9020 chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM, and to run HarmonyOS 5.1 out of the box. Color options are likely to include Obsidian Black, Feather White, and Gold Silk Silver Brocade.
