In particular, the device features rounded lines, ergonomic fit, and a lightweight design at just 6.4 grams per bud for natural comfort and extended wear. Sony also added an IPX4 water resistance that protects against splashes and sweat.
Inside, each bud features a 10mm driver with a 20Hz to 20,000Hz frequency response. Sony promises that it delivers balanced tuning for rich, clean audio across playlists, podcasts, and calls. It also supports SBC and AAC audio formats with Sony's DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) for improved sound quality. There is no lossless audio codec support, though.
It has 3 listening modes: Standard Mode for balanced everyday listening, Voice Boost Mode to enhance voice in noisy places, and Sound Leakage Reduction Mode to minimize escaping noise (suitable in quiet environments).
For calls, Sony boasts an AI voice pickup technology that ensures clear conversations even in noisy environments.
