Unbox Creator Network (UCN) has outlined trends shaping creator marketing to guide companies amid a shift in consumer behavior.

According to Unbox Creator Network founder and president Carlo Ople, Filipino audiences are increasingly drawn to lo-fi, unpolished content from creators who come across as genuine rather than curated.

Social commerce is accelerating, with UCN estimating the Philippine market at USD 20.05 billion, or around PHP 1.22 trillion, in 2026, Ople said in a UCN-hosted closed webinar for brand managers and marketing leads.

On influencer selection, the numbers favor smaller accounts. Nano-influencers in the 1,000 to 10,000-follower range are reportedly generating USD 5.78, or around PHP 350, in return for every dollar spent.

The webinar also addressed a trust issue that's becoming harder to ignore. UCN says 85 percent of Filipino brands are now doing integrity checks on creators before signing deals, partly because audiences have gotten good at spotting paid scripts — especially when a review never mentions a single downside.

Other topics included the growing use of AI in creator operations (managing DMs, answering product questions in Taglish around the clock), the shrinking window for trend-responsive content (now under 12 hours for local topics), and the industry-wide move away from one-off sponsored posts toward longer ambassador relationships measured in months rather than campaigns.

In 2026, the algorithm doesn't just reward attention—it rewards relevance, Ople said. If your content doesn't demonstrate genuine care for the consumer's daily life, you will be optimized out.
