To recap, the HUAWEI nova 15 Max arrives in three color options: Blush Gold, Golden Black, and Lake Cyan—with a flat-panel design inspired by the Huawei Mate series, featuring a circular camera module at the rear.

The device carries SGS-certified drop resistance alongside an IP65 rating for dust and water protection.

The display

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.84-inch LTPS OLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a Full HD+ resolution of 2,756 x 1,272 pixels at 444 ppi, with support for the wide P3 color gamut. 

Complementing the screen are symmetrical stereo speakers capable of reaching up to 85dB with a 90-degree ultra-wide sound field.

Under the hood, the nova 15 Max runs on an unspecified Kirin octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Powering the device is an 8,500mAh battery with HUAWEI's proprietary "Energy Booster" technology, which the company says delivers smart energy conversion, stable output, and a 98% battery capacity release rate. 

HUAWEI claims the handset can sustain up to 48 hours of continuous calls, 27 hours of local video playback, and 25 hours of map navigation on a single charge. Charging is supported at 40W via the included power adapter.

The cameras

On the imaging side, the nova 15 Max features a 50MP f/1.9 Ultra Sensing primary camera with QPD full-pixel autofocus, accompanied by a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor and an LED flash.

Additional features include a dedicated X Button for quick access to utilities such as the flashlight, calculator, and camera, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

The phone runs EMUI 14.2, a modified Android skin, with HUAWEI's AppGallery as its default app marketplace. Connectivity options were not disclosed at the time of writing.
