Nothing OS 5.0 is now official!

Nothing OS 5.0 is built on Android 17. The company boasts that it is packed with more than 80 improvements across design, personalisation, performance and AI.

The update introduces a sharper home screen with transparent widgets, adaptive colours that sync with wallpapers, and refreshed icons and animations across core apps.

There is also a new Geist typeface, unified blur effects, and cleaner layouts that give the system a more polished look.

Nothing said that personalisation also gets a boost with new lock screen clocks, improved home screen editing, and fresh widgets like Collector and Away Time.

Moreover, the Glyph Interface now has its own dedicated app, plus a new Glyph Timer widget.

Performance has been tuned for smoother touch response, smarter app retention and overnight memory optimisation.

Nothing's Bluetooth controls and QR code scanning have also been streamlined.

On the other hand, AI features also expand with faster Essential Voice transcription, Smart Collections in Essential Space, and the new Essential Apps Builder that lets users create AI‑powered apps without coding.
