Samsung launches Galaxy SmartTag 3—now smaller and works with iPhone

Samsung just launched the Galaxy SmartTag 3.

Available in Black or White colorway, its a compact tracker designed to help users locate everyday essentials like keys, bags, bikes, luggage, pet collars, and beyond.

According to the company, it is 35% smaller and 33% lighter than its predecessor. It also supports new accessories such as a Silicone Case and Loop Case.


Samsung said that for the first time, it works for both Galaxy and iOS devices via SmartThings. This compatibility update makes location sharing more universal.

This uses UWB technology that delivers pinpoint guidance, longer range Compass View shows direction and distance within 60m, Galaxy Find Network which taps into 900M+ Galaxy devices worldwide for lost‑item recovery, Location History to track past movements, Place Notification which alerts ehn items enter/exit zones, and Movement Detection that warns of unexpected activity.

This also has a Left Behind Alert which notifies users when the phone loses connection with a tagged item.

The device has up to 550 days of battery life on normal use and can extend up to 790 days via power saving mode.

Ensuring that this tracker is built to last, the company even added IP67 water and dust resistance.

It is now available in South Korea. US and other markets will be able to purchase this in 2027.

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 will be available in the U.S. by early November 2026. One-pack is priced at USD 29.99 (around PHP 1.9K) while the four-pack bundle retails for USD 99.99 (around PHP 6.3K).

There is no info regarding its Philippine release yet.
