HP Sprocket Photo Printer has now been officially available in the Philippines. With not just an elegant look, the printer is so portable that can be shared with your family and friends.  Well, will this HP Sprocket Photo Printer be our gadget in keeping our precious moments?

HP Sprocket Photo Printer is packed in a simple box that’s like a deck of flash card for kids. The moment the package was handed to me, I got very excited unboxing it.

Inside the box includes the pack of 10 pcs HP ZINK Sticky Backed Paper, USB Cable, Setup Card where you can get to scan the QR code for the installation of the app and of course the elegantly looking glossy mini photo printer that you’ll get the urge to use the moment you saw it (the feel of a scrapbooker I guess).

The compact photo printer can be used with a specially designed sticky paper that requires no ink cartridge with ZINK technology.

With the potability of the photo printer, you can carry it anytime, anywhere!

You can place it inside your bag without worrying of the ink that might spill and ruin your precious bag. One thing though, you might want to buy a simple pouch as its outside is not scratch proof.

Battery Life

Battery can last up to 50 photo printing so you’ll never miss those party pictures. Never worry because the printer can be used while charging. It can also hold up to 30 prints. It also has capability to automatically turned off after 5 minutes of not using it that helps preserve its battery life.

The photo printer can be charged up to 90 minutes using the USB cable included in the package (other generic USB cable can be used as well). The power light will turn green indicating that the device is already fully charged.

The photo printer is bundled with HP Sprocket App that can be downloaded through Apple Store or Google Play.  Using the app, you can view your pictures on your iOS or Android device and print it right away through Bluetooth connectivity. Once paired, you can just simply on your smartphone’s Bluetooth and the printer every time you wanted to use it.

The user interface

The app is also featured with editing capability where you can play around your photos, add some borders or even write captions and express yourself. You can directly get pictures from your camera and social media such as Facebook, Instagram or Google.

Pros - Elegant design, durable, longer battery life, can be used while charging, can fit in your palm, can easily connect, no setup or configuration needed.

Cons - A bit blurry prints especially the initial one.

Verdict

Me as a scrapbooker, I always wanted to have a quality printed pictures that can last as much as possible. I wanted to keep the memories and show the pictures from generation to generation. Since the print is a bit blurry, it is not highly recommended for a hardcore scrapbookers.

But, if you just want to have some fun and print those funny selfies and captioned groupies, or to have a display at home and make a curtain of pictures in  your hallway, this gadget is for you.

With its affordable price and its bundled app, you can definitely enjoy having this photo printer that you can carry anywhere.
