Tamiya launches Philippine "Dyipne" Mini 4WD kit
To commemorate the Asis Challenge 2019 in Manila, Tamiya and Brickyard launched a the special edition "Dyipne" Mini 4WD kit.

Philippine icon immortalized in a Mini 4WD kit
The new Tamiya Dyipne is inspired from the Philippine Jeepneys, the most popular means of public transportation in the country.

Basically, it looks like the colorful Jeepneys roaming around the roads of Quaipo, Makati, Paranaque, and other popular places in the Philippines.

It is a 1/32 Scale Mini 4WD Rev Series Tamiya with FM-A Chassis. It also highlights an easy snap together assembly with no glue required, 4:2:1 Gear, and stock Type 130 Motor (replaceable).
Stickers to decorate the Dyipe are also included in the package. To make this car run or race, you'll need two AA batteries.
Mr. Kahn also revealed that the Brickyard and Lil’s Hobby Center will be hosting the Tamiya Mini 4WD Asia Challenge event in Manila on June 20-23.
Some 250-300 total competitors from 10 countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, etc. are expected to take part in this yearly Tamiya competition.
The winner of the competition will be heading to Japan on November to compete in the World Championships.
According to Brickyard and Lil’s Hobby Center, it promises to be the Mini 4WD event of the year. Multiple races and events will also be available to the public to experience the thrill of this unique hobby.

Price and availability
The Tamiya Dyipne Mini 4WD kit will be available in the Philippines at Lil's Hobby Center, the Brickyard from June 6, 2019. The store is located at the 3rd floor of Glorietta 2 in Makati City.
Brickyard said that it will be priced at around PHP 700 to PHP 750 only.
